Orientatech Project

Orientatech is an initiative managed by Social technologies Foundation TECSOS constituted by Spanish Red Cross and Vodafone Foundation. The aim of this project is to contribute to the European challenges of reducing gaps in the use of Information and Communication Technologies and promoting the use of ICTs to overcome exclusion and improving economic performance, employment opportunities, quality of life , participation and social cohesion.

The project intends to promote the great challenge through the evaluation and dissemination of ICTs for users, public and private organizations that participate in the ecosystem of inclusion and participation.

The project materializes in this portal that pretends to be a reference in the comparison of products of social technology using the experience accumulated by TECSOS during the development of numerous projects in the last 15 years. The analysis of the products published on this website is carried out by a team of engineers who are experts in the social application of technology and a group of volunteers and potential users according to previously established test criteria.

For a solution to be analyzed in Orientatech, it must meet the following requirements:
- Innovative software or hardware solutions, based on ICT.
- Destined mainly to elderly people, people with disabilities, people in situations of dependency or victims of gender violence.
- Focused to promote the personal autonomy or active and healthy life.
- That the product is marketed in Spain and that it can be acquired and self-managed by the final users.
Any interested company can contact us to request an analysis of the social technology products, accepting the collaboration criteria, which can be consulted in the Documentation section, and we will work together in the analysis of their solution.
Thank you very much and welcome to our portal!
