Technical assessment:

Starting the application

When downloading the application, the first thing we must do is create a profile using our phone number.

coti home page. In the middle is the welcome text along with the coti logo. Below that is the text "let's start with the installation" and below that is a green button in the middle that says "agree"
Registration page, in the central part of the screen is the question "First time at COTI?". Below it, we find two buttons placed vertically from each other, the first is 'I have an account' and the second is 'Create an account'

Unlike other similar applications, such as WhatsApp, Coti offers an exhaustive level of customization according to the user's needs. To achieve this, the user must complete a test upon starting, and depending on the results, the application will adjust its interface and functionalities to offer a fully customizable experience according to the user's needs.

The test consists of five memory exercises that increase in difficulty, or not, depending on the results obtained in the previous exercises. This monitoring is done using AI. The exercises involve displaying a single number on the screen, which the user must press. The symbols and number then disappear, and the challenge is to remember the location of the number on the screen. This process is repeated, adjusting the difficulty based on the user's previous answers.

Once the test is completed, a tab will appear where the user can enter their name and add a profile photo. This will allow them to further personalize the experience and facilitate interaction with other users within the application.

Page of the first level of the test. In the central part there are the balls with the numbers and symbols and at the bottom there are two buttons located horizontally one in relation to the other, the first one is 'help' and the second one is 'finish'
Page of the next level of the test. In the central part there are 5 balls, with numbers and symbols on each one. And at the bottom, there are two buttons, the first one is 'help' and the second one is 'finish'.

Homepage:

Once you log in, the main window will be displayed, which includes buttons for the existing features, at most four. However, the existence of this fourth feature will depend on the result obtained in the previous test.

In initial testing, with a low test result, the application will be simple to use, displaying only three key functionalities, making interaction easier for people who require a simpler experience.

The three key functionalities are:

Main tab. At the top are the three buttons corresponding to the functionalities, organized vertically they are 'Messages' 'People' and 'My profile'
  • My Profile: Where the user can post or delete photos from their profile and share a message board where they can describe themselves.
  • Messages: This tab will display a list of all the chats in which there has been interaction. Unlike other applications, in Coti messages will not be displayed directly on the main screen, but rather the profile photos of the users will appear next to their names. If there are new messages, a blue strip will appear next to the chat, and if there are messages pending reading, a yellow strip will appear next to the chat. This makes it easier for the user to recognize the most recent chats at a glance.
  • People: In this tab, users can check information about their friends and family, and stay up to date with their news or photos posted on their profile.
User profile page. At the top is a circle with the chosen profile photo. In the middle is a text box with the information that is in the biography. Below it is a button to save the information. And at the bottom of the image is the large green button that says 'my photos'.

However, if we get a higher result in the registration test, we opt for a fourth, more advanced feature, which is the calendar.

The user can enter all the events they wish to remember and the application will remind them in notification format (after previously giving them permission) at the indicated time.

It is important to note that once you have registered with a phone number, you are not allowed to create another user using the same number or change the score obtained in the test. This ensures that each user maintains their profile and score in a unique manner.

So the following photo is from the official coti page: https://www.micoti.es/#funcionalidades

Calendar page. In the middle there is a list of to-do items, to the left of which are the times and to the right the corresponding text. Below these are two buttons for navigating between the calendar days. And at the bottom of the screen is a large green button for adding a new event.
