Home Screen

This device has two operating modes, “Simple Smartphone”, which corresponds to the adapted user interface and “Android”, corresponding to a standard interface. Once “Simple Smartphone” mode is selected, the phone will reboot. It is possible to return to “Android” mode from the “Tools” section.

The main screen has a menu of options, including: “Call”, “Messages”, “Photographs” or “Agenda”, among others. It is simple, intuitive and has a very careful and homogeneous aesthetic. It includes representative icons that make it easy to identify each functionality. In order to carry out scroll and access all the menu options, the screen contains an arrow at the bottom, which the user must press for a long time, according to the previously established keystroke configuration.

At the top, the user has the time, battery level and sound control. In addition, the most frequent contacts are included, so that it is possible to make direct calls by clicking on the icon of said contact.

Calls and SMS

In the “Calls” section, the user will have the following options:

  • Dial the contact number: an adapted numeric keypad will open, with large keys and voice synthesis every time a number is dialed. From this page, you can directly make the call.
  • Contact list: the user will then have all the contacts stored in their phonebook available. You can call them by clicking on their contact.
  • Add a new contact: to do this, a name and phone number will be requested, as well as an optional email.
  • Find contact: In this case, a common keyboard will open and the screen orientation will be changed. The keyboard is presented with the same dimensions as in a common terminal and the long press is not respected.
  • Voice Search: Pressing this button opens a pop-up window with the message, “Say the name of the requested contact.” At this point, the device is already collecting the information that the user is transmitting by voice. This functionality simplifies the calling process for the user.
  • “Check balance”, “Never out of balance”, “Bank recharge”: these features are available in the contact list. The user will have the option to call the number and make any queries they require. The answering machine is also available in this same list.

The sound quality in calls is good and the maximum volume acceptable. It is possible to adjust the volume using the buttons available on the left side. The ringer can be adjusted up to 85 dB with a vibration option so you never miss a call. Additionally, the S510-M is compatible with M4/T4 hearing aids.

When you make the call, the contact's image will be displayed on the screen in a large size, as well as a button to put the call on speakerphone, the option to access the keyboard and a button to hang up.

In the “Messages” section, the user can read the messages. The user can access them by reading them or through voice by pressing the “Voice” button at the bottom. If there are no messages to read, this option will not be presented. However, the user will be able to access the message history through “Old messages”. Finally, the “Write message” functionality is presented. By pressing it, the contact book will open. Once one of them is selected, you are given the option to open the keyboard horizontally or select one of the predefined messages ("I'm fine", "Please call me" or "Thank you", among others).

Camera and image gallery
